However, Tilamari social mores, including dueling (in which the losers are cooked and eaten) and the keeping of harems, are far from meeting the standards set for Federation membership, a fact which should be kept in mind by future Federation negotiation teams.

The Tilamari homeworld, Tilamar IV, is a class-P pelagic world, covered entirely in water except for a single, enormous continent-like reef dotted with a few medium-sized cities where air-breathing can co-mingle with the Tilamari.
